Who Won The Holiday Draft?
It’s time for our annual poll asking: Who won the PosCast Holiday Draft VIII?
As a reminder: Linda Holmes won last year — the final results were:

We’re going to do the polling just a bit differently this year — I’ve divided up our drafters into three divisions. These are quote-unquote “geographic divisions” — East, Central, West — but like real geographic divisions in sports, the actual geography has little to do with it. Buffalo is way North of Baltimore, and Baltimore is way South of Indianapolis, and a whle bunch of teams are way East of Dallas. The NFL can do whatever it wants, and so can we.*
Anyway, choose your division winner, we’ll add two wildcards, and the final polling will be done early next week before Christmas!
Alas, we didn’t have a perfect dozen this year because draft stalwart Mike DiCenzo was unable to join — the taskmasters over at Saturday Night Live would not unlock the writer’s room door to let him out. So, yeah, PosCast Holiday Draft West is eminently winnable in 2024! The two wildcards will some from the other divisions.

Jason: receiving but not sending holiday cards, PosCast holiday draft, eating at a Chinese restaurant on Christmas
Ryan: building a snowman and naming it Parson Brown, building a snowman and naming it Terry, Christmas
Nick: alcohol, meat, making love
Brandon: department store decorations, seeing holiday decorations inside people’s houses, feeling when you get popcorn bucket with three different types of popcorn
Alexis: Christmas carols at the grocery store, small gingerbread house replica of a real building inside that real building, lit up Christmas tree at night when everything is quiet
Linda: Danish king Sweyn Forkbeard becoming first Viking king of England (overcoming Æthelred the Unready), dogs in Santa hats, eggnog riot at West Point
Molly: unfollowing anyone on social media who posts anything that mildly annoys you (including yourself), taking your dogs to see the holiday lights, all holiday cookies (especially snickerdoodles, gingerbread, star cookies)
Howard: reciprocity of cheer, the Nick Offerman Yule log, murder scenes in movies with Christmas music in the background, Harry Edwards
Alan: Holiday episodes of “Cheers,” getting presents, all holiday movies
Michael: Dallas Cowboys losing a football game, feeling when least favorite baseball team is jilted by big-time free agent, smile on child’s face when aforementioned jilting happens
I want to vote, and just listened to the podcast a couple days ago ... but there's far too many people and picks to keep it all straight. IMHO we need everyone's selections next to their names so we know what we're voting for.
