Again: Alexis won this in a walk. The gingerbread house like the house you're in and the quiet nighttime moment when it's just you and the lit-up Christmas tree were the two best answers, and they were both hers.

I love Nick but he Ron Swanson'ed it. He gave answers out of a 60-year-old SCTV skit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-UxSNUQTyA

They were funny answers but they weren't the best answers.

I missed the first round of voting, which is a shame, because Ellen Adair won this draft. I think you'll find that, by Weighted Commitment to the Bit Average (wCBA) it wasn't even close. Offerman was a distant second in wCBA, docked major points for describing the yule log when he had the opportunity, but he gets my vote here.

Ellen was my #1 seed as well. Once I realized what she was doing I was so tickled.

Looks like a devastating loss for Alexis. Does her s*** not work in the playoffs?!?

Can we give Mike the first annual "PosCast Draft Jeff King Award" ? Shows up late and leaves early from the draft that he is co-hosting, and sneakily turns the backend of the draft into a snake format (which he has been lobbying for) which completely hosed Brandon. Played the system and the kindness of the participants to a T.

Alexis not winning this is more egregious than the '85 Denkinger call.

The anti-analytics crowd clearly had it in for Ellen Adair. Did Smoltz do the voting?

finally listened. Ellen Adair far and away. Also Michael Shur's picks were excellent, and everything went off the rails after he left.

It was Nick… I assumed he’d win, because, he’s Nick, but he earned it this year, a hitherto unseen efficiency…

Not going to lie, I’m a bit bummed Kander didn’t make the poll as I think it’s by far the “best” performance he’s done.

While I enjoyed Nick's pick, they were way too generic. Alcohol, meat and sex cheer people up all year long! Alexis for me.

Alan Sepinwall, so handsome and so smart!

Mike S?

Not so much…

1) I fully expected Nick Offerman to claim "Christmas" with is third pick. I really did. If he had, he would have won in a walk. But he chocked on his last pick, losing sight of his basic strategy. One-word fundamental sources of Christmas cheer. It's like the latest World Chess Championship. He just flubbed it.

2) Why is Ellen not in this poll? I think her creativity was so far beyond everyone else's that she won. Linda Holmes is usually quite high in this area, but this time it was Ellen.

3) Fine. If Ellen is not there, I vote for Alexis. But that's like the Steve Young stepping in for Joe Montana. Really good, of course, but still not Joe Montana.

Offerman crushed this. He had the best three picks, no one else even came close. Sepinwall should be penalized by the commissioner. Perhaps next year he is banned from knowing the topic until the draft has started AND is relegated to the second to last pick in each round.
