The discussion about an old timey shave made me remember the AMAZING Dollar Shave Club reads from several years ago. I wish I could time them better so I could go back and listen.
Surprised Michael did not recall that in 2004, after the Yankees blew out the Red Sox in game 3, Gary Sheffield was definitely popping off. With Derek Jeter the veteran on the team. Made me cringe when it happened, and rightfully so. What Jazz said was tame in comparison.
I think it's really funny how people in the national media - like Mike and Joe - are talking about Aaron Rodgers this year. I would date his childish behavior back - somewhere in the 2019-2021 era. Can't be sure exactly which season it was, but if memory serves, it was around then. He started getting exactly like this. The thing is, the Packers were a more competent organization, so Rodgers DID have better players around him, which covered things up a bit. Furthermore, in spite of the Packers being on national TV more than the Jets, it seems to me that this is a perfect example of the "the media spotlight is much brighter in New York" phenomenon. Somehow, in spite of probably 6 or so national games per year (including playoffs), in MANY of which Rodgers exhibited this type of behavior, I don't recall hearing any (non-Packers fans) talk about him the way they talk about him now.
(Also, and I know this isn't important, but the fact that Joe said "shaddenfrood" when he was pronouncing "schadenfreude" made me have one of those moments when I realized: "Oh; that's definitely a word he's read a million times but never heard." Made me chuckle.)
