I finally finished this behemoth podcast today. Man, I know that a loose connection to facts and reason is part of the Poscast brand, but that Orioles analysis at the end was so dumb it was painful. The sad thing is Molly Knight is paid to be informed about baseball and her discussion with Joe about the O's was almost as bad.
If the election doesn't turn out the way I hope and the whole world comes crashing down, I know that I can always return to this episode and find a little peace hearing your perfect/hilarious dissection of the Great Yankee Meltdown.
The Yankee hatred turns Mike into a bit of a Joe Morgan-esque curmudgeon. The Yankees did have the second highest WAR in baseball and lost to the team with the highest WAR. Hard to say they were “exposed.” This reminds me of Morgan’s discussions of the A’s in 2001.
Shame on Mike Schur. Jeffrey Maier played at Wesleyan in Connecticut not far from Mike’s hometown. BTW, he is in the Wesleyan baseball HOF and so am I. Class of 1980. And Harvard was a safety school for us Wes students.
It was a little too short IMO
So i speed this episode up x30.5 times and now it's actually just a quick 5 minutes

I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see this in my inbox: "A Quick 5 Minutes on The World Series | Listen Now (154 minutes)" :-)
I know it will be a great listen whenever I get to it.
Not having listened yet, I have to assume 30 minutes of this is just Mike laughing at the Yankees loss.

Thank you for your restraint in keeping it to the time limit

Saw the title, guessed the time would be 2:05. And even that wasn’t aggressive enough. Wow.
But I’m a Yankee fan so who knows when I’ll actually listen.
